Our Story

Building a legacy of compassion, stewardship, and opportunity since 2023.

The ThinkPad Foundation was established in 2023 by CK Wong and his wife Robitah Wong with a deep commitment to philanthropy, social responsibility, and giving back to society. Founded on the belief that lasting change is achieved through compassion, stewardship, and opportunity, the Foundation invests in people and communities that have historically been underserved.

From its inception, the Foundation has focused on advancing dignity, stability, and hope by addressing the root causes of homelessness and social inequity. Its early work centered on providing safe, stable housing for individuals rebuilding after justice involvement and returning to community life, recognizing that successful reintegration strengthens not only individuals but also families and neighborhoods as a whole.

Guided by a long-term vision for societal impact, the ThinkPad Foundation is dedicated to creating pathways toward self-sufficiency, accountability, and personal growth. Through thoughtful investment in housing and supportive services, the Foundation seeks to leave a lasting legacy of empowerment, opportunity, and positive change for future generations.

Recognizing the growing need for behavioral health and substance use treatment in the region, Program Director Mamelyn Reyes joined the foundation in December 2025, bringing expertise in addiction counseling, program development, and community reintegration services. Under her leadership, the foundation launched its Alcohol and Drug Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Program (OP/IOP), expanding its services to include adults and youths in Sacramento and neighboring counties.

Today, ThinkPad Foundation operates as a mission-driven nonprofit focused on addressing the interconnected challenges of homelessness, addiction, unemployment, food insecurity, and supporting individuals rebuilding after justice involvement.
